روابط عمومی آستان مقدس حضرت عبدالعظیم(ع) اطلاعیه ای در مورد راهپیمایی اربعین حسینی به شرح زیر صادر کرد:

قابل توجه راهپیمایان محترم اربعین
 بمنظور حفظ سلامتی زائرین محترم و مردم عزیز و پیشگیری از وقوع حوادث ناگوار، در روز اربعین، جز اقامه نماز جماعت ظهر و عصر در نقاط تعیین شده، هیچگونه برنامه دیگری که موجب توقف یا تجمع زائرین محترم باشد در آستان برگزار نخواهد شد و نحوه حضور علاقمندان در کربلای ایران اسلامی نیز بنحوی طراحی شده که دلدادگان حسینی پس از ادای سلام از راه دور، بدون ورود به فضای محدود ضرایح مقدس از مسیرهای تعیین شده تردد و عبور نموده و فرصت را در اختیار سایر راهپیمایان گرامی قرار دهند. ‏
