Sheikh Abolfotouh Razi :

Jamaleddin Abolfotouh Hossein ibn Ali, known as Razi is among exegesis scholars and narrators of tradition in the shiite world. His precise birth and death date is not available, but considering existing indications, his birth happened in the late fifth century and his demise in the middle sixth century. His ancestors come down to Nafe ibn Badil Khazaee, one of the great companions of the holy prophet who was martyred in the fourth hegira year. The ancestors of Abolfotuh were among great shiite scholars and had authored many books who came to Rey from Neishabur. Among his teachers we can name Sheikh abolvafa Abdoljabbar razi, his father, Ali ibn Mohammad, the judge Hassan Astarabadi and sheikh abuali hassan bin mohammad Tousi.among his students we can name shahrashub, the author of the book Maalem and Managheb , sheikh Montajabeddin and sheikh Faghih abdollah bin Hamzeh Toosi who have had the permission from him to recount the traditions. The most important book of him was Rooholjenan or roozoljenan which is among valid creditable comprehensive exegesis of the Koran and the first shiite exegesist (commentary) which is the first shiite commentary in Persian language. His other work is Rooholahbab fee sharhe shahab which is an explanation of the book shahabolakhbar, the judge which is a collection of short sayings of the holy prophet. The late abolfotooh razi was buried in a school next to emamzadeh Hamzeh in his Hojreh and it is now located next to Emamzadeh Hamzeh Ibn Moussa cemetery which came between the Harams in the development project of holy shrine called Rawagh(stoic) Abolfotooh.
