Migration of scholars and clergy from Tehran and sit-in in the holy shrine of Abdolazim

The increasing influence of foreigners such as Nouse from Belgium who took the rule openly during the Mozaffareddin shah era, the despotism of Einoddoleh, the premier of Mozaffareddin shah and banishment of clergymen and scorning the dignitaries and failure to abide by the promises by the shah during the sit-in of businessmen of Tehran by Einoldoleh, people's awareness of the corruption of the court and Masjed Shah clashes and Masjed Sepahsalar clashes led to Ayatollah Tabatabai proposing the migration to Abdolazim shrine which was backed by most clergymen.
This migration was later known as minor migration. The role of this sit-in is so important in the constitutionalism and awareness of the people that all those who have written works in the field of constitutional revolution have made reference to that event. Here we avoid dealing with events during the migration and solely deal with points which have been linked with sacred shrine of Abdolazim.
1- The sit-in of clergymen began began from Wednesday 16th shawal 1323 and ended on Friday 16,zelqadeh of the same year.
2- Nearly all scholars and clergymen of Tehran joined the sit-in.
3- Among great scholars seyed Mohammad tabatabai and seyed Abdollah Behbahani led the demonstrators(those involved in sit-in).
4- Number of sanctuary sitters-in reached over two thousand people so that there was no place vacant for pilgrims at Friday nights and days around the harem.
5- Amir bahador, the court minister, who was in charge of returning the scholars to Tehran entered the shrine scene in company of 200 soldiers to force ayatollah Tabatabai from the room, but the Nafari tribesmen and guards of the shrine and Rey people said that they would not let them away as long as they were alive. The situation became so tense and critical that shahrerey bazaar closed down and people cried shouting woe is our religion and such a mayhem is roused that by dispatching telephone calls to Mozaffareddin shah, Amir bahador's mission is cancelled.
6- Speech, disclosing meetings is held on daily basis at the shrine and famous speakers call people to unity.
In an important session in presence of Malekolmotekallemin and nosrat sultan on behalf of freedom fighters in one of rooms around the harem held with sitters-in, after long discussions they come to conclusion that the only way of deliverance from so much backwardness and tyranny and despotic rule is to ask shah a parliament of representatives of the nation and constitutional rule as ayatollah Tabatabai endorses the idea.
At the end of said session ayatollah Behbahani says: we should bring to the end the way we have chosen and save people and deliver them from misery and destitution and set up constitutional rule as in progressive countries.
The final list of demands of sitters-in which was arranged and regulated at the holy shrine and conveyed to the shah for endorsement is summarized as follows:
1- Removal of new tax(10 shahi per toman)
2- Removal of banishment from Haj Mirza reza( a great Kermani scholar and clergyman)
3- Deposal and banishment of Asgar Garichi, in charge of Tehran-Qom railway
4- Erection of justice houses throughout cities and towns
Upon declaring the victory of sitters-in on 16,Zelqada, while the shah's letter addressing the clergymen was being read out, the cries of long live Iranian nation was echoed for the first time in the history of this country from the sacred shrine of hazrat Abdolazim (pbuh) such that it astonished the courtiers present in the assembly.
